It's almost been a year since my last post about my journey in Lithuania.
No, I'm not going back to Europe this year. But that experience that I got in Europe is still fresh in my mind.
I'm still in touch with some friends that I met during my journey last summer. Not only with my fellow interns, but also with some students from the camp (I was the facilitator back then).

So around two months ago, I was chatting with a friend from Lithuania. It's normal for us to have a chat via facebook messanger. We've done that since we met, and it's never stopped even until now. We were talking about our lives, when suddenly she popped this crazy idea.
Yes, Gab. That's the craziest idea I've ever heard! |
Honestly, I thought it was only her idea. Or to be more specific, her crazy idea. Well I still remember when she told me that she wants to come to Indonesia. She promised me that she will come one day. But I think 2015 is waaaay to early for this 18-year-old girl.
Yes, I was surprised. I thought this girl was kidding. That must be her idea, only her idea |
That was so seriously epic. I know that it'd be hard to find a job for an expat in Indonesia, especially when she's not graduated yet. And most of all, I still didn't know whether she was being serious or not since she said that she's still thinking about that, and that she still had to tell her parents about all these stuffs.
Anyway, it was a great feeling, knowing that someone is willing to come to your country; to meet you and to know more about your country. So for the next following weeks, we were talking about some great places in Indonesia, some weird habits of our people, and also about our foods.
We don't chat all day since we both were so busy with ourselves. So at this time, we weren't chatting at all, until this I received this message out of nothing.
That seems more serious, and unbelievable at the same time |
It's getting more serious after that message. But I wasn't 100% sure whether she'd really come. We actually had some problems, especially with our schedules. She was planning to come in September-November, which is obviously my busiest months.
I always have my holiday in June-August and December-January. That's all. I might not be available during the other months since my uni life is kind of insane these days. I've told her about this, and she was working on this.
Again, we don't chat everyday. We didn't have any conversation for some time, until this message arrived.
I guess someone is gonna have her best Christmas gift this year |
